The 94th Tradewise Hastings International Chess Congress will take place at Horntye Park Sports Complex in Hastings from Friday 28th December 2018 to Sunday 6th January 2019. Once again we are extremely grateful to joint sponsors Tradewise Insurance Services and Hastings Borough Council. Thanks should also go to the White Rock Hotel, Lansdowne Hotel and KC Computers for their continuing support.
This year the Masters will be a ten-round event from 28th December 2018 to 6 January 2019. The Congress also includes the following —
- 5-round Christmas tournament over three days from 28th December to 30th December 2108
- 5-round New Year Morning and Afternoon events from 31st December 2018 to 4th January 2019
- 36th Weekend Congress from 4th January to 6th January 2019
Chris Ward will give his entertaining commentaries each afternoon and games and full daily results will be shown on the Congress website. An excellent bookstall will once again be provided by Chess & Bridge.
